Part 1 β€” Install TiviMate on Firestick

TiviMate is not on the Amazon app store, so it requires sideloading via the Downloader app. This takes about 5 minutes.

  1. Enable apps from unknown sources Allow the Downloader app to install third-party APKs on your Firestick.
  2. Install the Downloader app From the home screen search bar, look up Downloader by AFTVnews β€” the orange icon. Install it from the Amazon Appstore.
  3. Open Downloader and enter the TiviMate URL In the URL field type the address below and select Go. Download is around 25 to 40 MB.
  4. Install the APK when prompted Select Install. When the install finishes select Done, then delete the APK in Downloader to free storage.
    ⚠ Important
Select Done, not Open, after install β€” opening directly from Downloader can cause display issues on some Firestick models.
  5. Launch TiviMate from your apps list Hold the Home button on the remote and select Apps if TiviMate is not pinned to the home screen.
    βœ“ Ready
TiviMate is now installed. Next step is adding your playlist.

Part 2 β€” Install TiviMate on Android

Installing TiviMate on an Android phone, tablet, or Android TV box is simpler β€” it is available directly on the Google Play Store, no sideloading required.

Play Store Β· 2 minutes

Android phone or tablet

  1. Open Google Play Store
  2. Search TiviMate IPTV Player
  3. Tap Install
  4. Open and proceed to Part 3 to add your playlist

  3. Select Install β€” optimised for TV remote navigation

Part 3 β€” Add Your IPTV Playlist

This is where TiviMate connects to your provider. Your provider gives you either an M3U URL or Xtream Codes credentials β€” both methods are covered below.

Method 1 Β· M3U URL

M3U playlist URL

  1. Open TiviMate β€” first launch shows Add Playlist automatically. Later: Settings β†’ Playlists β†’ Add Playlist.
  2. Select M3U playlist.
  3. Paste the M3U URL from your provider welcome email.
  4. Give the playlist a name and tap Add. First load takes 10 to 60 seconds.
Playlist URL β†’ http://yourprovider.com:port/get.php?...
βœ“ Success
Channels load automatically. Live TV, Movies and Series categories appear in the side panel.
Method 2 Β· Xtream Codes

Xtream Codes login

  1. From Add Playlist select Xtream Codes.
  2. Enter the three credentials your provider sent.
  3. Tap Add. TiviMate imports the full channel list, VOD and series.
Server URL β†’ http://server.com:8080 Username β†’ your_username Password β†’ your_password
πŸ’‘ Tip
Xtream Codes gives TiviMate more data than M3U β€” catch-up and EPG often work better.

Part 4 β€” Set Up EPG (TV Guide)

EPG gives TiviMate its TV guide β€” showing what is on now, what is coming next, and enabling catch-up playback. Your provider usually includes EPG automatically with Xtream Codes. If your guide is empty, here is how to fix it.

  1. Check if EPG loaded automatically Trigger a manual refresh and then open the TV guide to confirm program data is showing.
  2. Add a manual EPG source if empty Paste the XMLTV link from your provider β€” most welcome emails include one. Free sources like epg.best work with most providers.
  3. Set the automatic update schedule Let TiviMate refresh the guide on its own β€” once a day is the sweet spot.
    πŸ’‘ Why 24h
EPG data is heavy β€” 24 hours is the right balance between freshness and performance.

Part 5 β€” Organise Your Channels

Once your playlist is loaded you will have thousands of channels. These four tips turn that raw list into a usable daily setup.

TiviMate Not Working After Setup?

If channels are not loading, streams are buffering, or you are seeing error codes, the most common issue after first setup is a wrong server URL format β€” make sure it includes the full address with port number, for example http://server.com:8080.
