TiviMate Buffering Constantly

Buffering is the most common complaint and the most misdiagnosed. Most guides immediately suggest a VPN. A VPN helps with ISP throttling specifically — but there are four other causes that are more common and faster to fix.

Black Screen — Audio Plays But No Picture

This specific problem is almost never covered in TiviMate guides. If you can hear the audio but the screen is black, this is a video decoder conflict — not a network or provider issue.

1. Switch decoder Hardware ↔ Software Toggle between Hardware and Software decoding. One of the two will fix the codec conflict.

TiviMate VOD Not Working

VOD — on-demand movies and series — failing while live TV works fine is a specific issue that almost no guide covers properly.

VOD in TiviMate uses a separate server connection from live TV channels. Your provider needs to include VOD content in your subscription plan, and TiviMate needs to fetch it separately from your channel list. The two most common causes:

Your provider does not include VOD in your plan. Some cheaper IPTV subscriptions include live TV only. Check your provider's plan details — if VOD is not in your package, no TiviMate setting will add it.

Your VOD list needs refreshing. If VOD worked before and stopped, update your playlist. Xtream Codes connections re-fetch the full VOD library on update.

VOD streams use different server ports. If refreshing does not fix it, your provider may have changed their VOD server address. Contact them directly — this is a provider-side change that cannot be fixed in TiviMate.

TiviMate Crashes or Freezes on Launch

App crashes are almost always storage or cache related — not a TiviMate bug. Work through these four steps in order.
